On the Personal Side John fell in love with Salt Lake City in the 1960's. He was riding his motorcycle to Dugway, where he was sent after joining the army, and was in awe as the mountains gave way to the city near the end of Parley's canyon. Little did he know, a few years later he would call Salt Lake home. In the 70's he spent much of his time kayaking all around the state. Now in his free time John enjoys hiking and rock climbing, especially in Big and Little Cottonwood Canyons. But you'll most likely find him hiking throughout the Wasatch, or on his bike riding around Salt Lake and its surrounding canyons and mountains.
